2015 Bookish Goals

Well the year is almost over (ALREADY!!) and my blog just turned one a week or so ago and I decided I will share my bookish goals for you all.  I am thinking it will help me to accomplish more of my goals this way. I was looking at my 2014 Goodreads book challenge and I have noticed I have read 228 book so far this year. Most of those books were books/ebooks I have received for review and from what I can tell I have only read 10 of my own book in the past few years.  I am planning on putting my book challenge to 175 next year (this year my goal was actually 100). I was looking at my TBR and I do have a lot of books I have bought in the past 2 or 3 years that I have not even read yet so I decided 2015 will be the year I read a lot of my TBR pile.  By the way, I will do a TBR pile of shame post at some point in the next month. I want to read more classics books.  I haven't read many in all my years as a reader so I think next year will be a good time to sta...

The Donor (The Full Novella) by Nikki Rae Review

Image
* I received a free ecopy of this book through NetGalley for my honest review* They’re getting by fine enough when the headaches start. Then there’s the nosebleeds. And the inevitable doctor’s bills. Fortunately for Casey, there’s MyTrueMatch.com: an exclusive, quick, and almost easy way to pay it all back before her parents even have to know. All she has to do is give a man she’s never met whatever he wants from her body. Inside or out. MY THOUGHTS I didn't really know what to expect with this novella because I just requested it without reading the synopsis (yes I do that sometimes).  It is short and an easy read that I did think it was ok  and I had never read anything like this before so I think the story is unique.  It isn't something I would read again though. Don't get me wrong the story is decent but I don't see myself reading it again in the future because I wasn't really drawn to the main character. I give this 2 out of 5 because I wasn'...

My Life as a 6th Grade Super Zero #1 BLAST

Image
My Life as a 6th Grade Super Zero #1 You’d think being a superhero would be cool. And you’re right. It would be cool, especially since the entire world is filled with plain old regular people. Superheroes and supervillains are kind of hard to find, but not as hard as some people like to think. So, anything would be better than being just a normal, everyday 6th grader, right? Wrong. The only thing worse than being an average kid would be what I am, and that is a hero with a totally useless, mega wonky, super power. I’m a dud—a zero. That’s me, Theo Perkins, a 6th grade super-freaking-zero. Sign up for the Emails / Get on Amazon When not writing, Peggy Martinez can be found spending time at home with her husband, her teen son, and four little girls. She loves reading, writing, soap making, aromatherapy, gangster movies, prepping for the zombie apocalypse, and downing insane amounts of Twizzlers and Kazoozles. As if being a wife and homeschooling mom of five doesn...
