New landlord… …New love ? Free-spirited Nora never expected Melbourne to be her forever home. But when her landlady, Clancy, passes away, she agrees to stay until Bennett, Clancy’s grandson, can return to Australia. Over long-distance calls with him, Nora soon realizes that, while Bennett may be her polar opposite, he’s just as lost, emotionally, as she is. Still, when they  finally  meet, it’s the incredible spark between them that truly stuns her. Could he give her the forever home she actually needs—with him? From Harlequin Romance:  Be swept away by glamorous and heartfelt love stories. MY THOUGHTS I very much enjoyed this one. I liked the characters and the story.   Like most Harlequin books I have read this one in one sitting. I give this 4 out of 5.

But does that matter, when the beautiful and free-spirited Kathleen deems him a stodgy bo

What I Want To Read This Fall And Winter 2021 (Big Books Edition)

I don't usually do to be read lists like this because I always have a long list of books to review and this year is no different but I am trying to read more of what I have been buying instead of having lots of unread books on my shelves. I think about half of my books I have not even read yet and some of those I have had since I started this book blog back in 2014. Usually, I do read some of my unread books but this year I haven't even done much of that.  You will notice some are going to be new releases but I am a mood reader so I want to have a variety of books. Of course, I most likely won't be reading all of these books I am listing but those are the ones I really want to read.  I will not include the books I have to review because if I did this post would be so long. I am going to start off with my pre-orders and then add my backlist.    Some of the books are in series that I am right in the middle of them. I am only posting the Goodreads pages and what number the boo

*I received a eARC of this book for my honest review*   In the ancient city of Bassa, Danso is a clever scholar on the cusp of achieving greatness—only he doesn’t want it. Instead, he prefers to chase forbidden stories about what lies outside the city walls. The Bassai elite claim there is nothing of interest. The city’s immigrants are sworn to secrecy. But when Danso stumbles across a warrior wielding magic that shouldn’t exist, he’s put on a collision course with Bassa’s darkest secrets. Drawn into the city’s hidden history, he sets out on a journey beyond its borders. And the chaos left in the wake of his discovery threatens to destroy the empire. MY THOUGHTS I have to say that I went in reading this because of the hype and I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.   This book is seriously one of my top 10 favourite Fantasy books of this year.   I found it so entertaining and I just couldn't put it down. Son of the Storm is the first book in the Nameless Republ
