*I received a eARC of this book for my honest review* If she believed in destiny, she would believe they were meant for each other. But that fire was put out long ago. . . Living among the Dragon Kings, Cain has spent lifetimes learning to distrust both mortals and Fae. He is a warrior born—and every instinct demands that he fight to keep his own kind safe. But when a fringe member of the Dark Fae contacts the Kings with an urgent warning, Cain is torn for the first time. How can he trust this beautiful creature when resisting his primal attraction to her is battle enough? Noreen is horrified by what her kind and the malevolent Others are planning for the Dragon Kings. Dark Fae or not, there are lines she will not cross—even if it means risking her life. But she never imagined that she would risk her heart until she meets Cain. She wants him with a soul-deep desire that frightens her…and endangers them both. Is saying goodbye to everything Noreen has ever known worth a lov...

Wild Highway by Devney Perry #Review

Image
*I received an eARC of this book for my honest review* Gemma Lane built an empire. Not a small feat, considering her home as a teenager was a makeshift tent in a California junkyard. She’s dedicated her life to turning pennies into millions. She has power, fortune and prestige. And she’s leaving it all behind. Gemma is headed across the country in her best friend’s Cadillac when a detour in Montana reunites her with old acquaintances and a man who hasn’t changed. Easton Greer challenges her every word and tests her every limit because he doesn’t believe she’s really abandoned her riches. She ignores his snide remarks and muttered censure—until the day she’s ready to return to the wild highway, and Easton taunts her to stay. She’ll prove to him she’s not just running back to her wealthy life, that she’s more than her money. She’ll unlock her guarded heart and hope that this time around, he’ll treasure the key. The Flapper's Baby Scandal by Lauri Robinson

Image
*I received an eARC of this for my honest review* Be seduced by the passion, drama and sumptuous detail of Harlequin Historical—from the intensity of ancient Rome, to the grandeur of the medieval court, to the decadence of Regency aristocracy. Her undercover life… her secret child . Dancing in speakeasies at night is dutiful heiress Betty Dryer’s only escape from her father’s tyrannical control and marriage plans. There she meets mysterious FBI agent Henry Randall. Drawn into his investigation—and to emotionally scarred, lone-wolf Henry himself—Betty gives in to her desire, believing this could be her only chance at love before she’s forced to wed. Until she discovers she’s pregnant with Henry’s baby! MY THOUGHTS The Flapper's Baby Scandal is book 2 in the Sisters of the Roaring Twenties but you don't really need to read the previous book .  I did enjoy this one.  I found the story entertaining and I just love Betty and Henry. I do recommend this....

COVER REVEAL!!! Title: INKED Authors: Sarah Darlington It all starts with a one-night stand... AMANDA Men like Nick should come with a warning label... don’t touch. He walked into the shop, smelling like heaven, wanting his first tattoo, and I should have refused his business. Because I knew the moment I set eyes on him, I didn’t stand a chance. Still, I fell down the rabbit-hole with him. Now, he’s gone, moved on, and the result of our one-night stand is left growing inside me. I’ll probably never see this man again. NICK It was only supposed to be a little ink. A parting gift to myself from myself. Because when your girlfriend dumps you for a famous rockstar, you leave. You move on. You get the hell out of town and forget all about her. But I never counted on meeting Amanda before I left. Or the night we shared. Or the mark she left when she put her ink on my skin. I have to go back. For her. *INKED is a full-length standalo...

Hard Pass by Sara Ney #Review

Release Date: June 16 “Hard Pass.” That’s what the last girl I slept with said when she got her first sober glimpse of me. She laughed, walked out of my penthouse—and I never saw her again. It doesn’t matter that I’m a rich, professional athlete; what mattered was my face.  Beauty might only be skin deep for some—but I know better. “Pay Up.”   That’s what the last girl I spoke to said over the phone when I made her an offer she couldn’t refuse. Desperate to sell a set of rare baseball cards, she’s clever and entertaining. I’m instantly smitten, but nowhere ready to reveal myself. Thank god she has no idea who I am—or what I look like.  I’m a professional athlete--how hard can playing the love game be? MY THOUGHTS You probably have noticed that I have read and reviewed a lot of books written by Sara Ney because she is one of my favourite authors. I very much enjoyed this book.  As per usual with sara's...

Moving Update #2

If you have been reading my blog posts during the past month you probably already know that my husband and I are moving.  We have put our house up for sale on May 19th then the next couple of days was a little crazy.  We had 7 house showings in just 4 days!!!  Actually, on the second day, we had an offer but we just waited a couple of days to see if we would get a new offer but that was in our favour because the same person raised his offer. Of course, we took that offer since we really don't have time to just sit and wait to see if we would have any more.  So our house is now officially SOLD!!!!  Yay. We haven't bought a new house yet but we are hoping that will happen in the next 2 weeks.   I really can't wait to finally have our new address and to have finally moved into our new house so that I can start doing more reviews again.

Hard Fall by Sara Ney

Image
"Hard Fall" That's what my mom is always saying: "The bigger you are, the harder you fall." She's talking about love—I've never been in it myself, but that doesn't stop me from secretly matchmaking for my friends. Who would suspect me, a world class athlete, of meddling in other people's love lives? I love Love, especially when it’s not me who’s doing the falling… "No Thanks." That's what Hollis Westbrooke said when I asked her on a date. Well, propositioned her, actually—but it was all a big joke; one she doesn't think is funny. My stomach is in knots since I might actually like this girl so the joke is on me. Hollis’s father is my boss—and she doesn't date players. The bigger they are, the harder they fall—especially when biggest player is me. Add to your Goodreads TBR List Here ! Meet the Sara  Ney Sara Ney is the USA Today Bestselling Author of th...
