To wipe our slate clean, but in order to do so, I needed to understand it all.   I couldn’t pretend to live in a world that didn’t exist.  I didn’t want to act like he’d never hurt me because that was so far from the truth.  I was now ready to hear his explanations.  I wasn’t the desperate girl anymore, clinging on to the minuscule amount of love he decided to give me.  He seemed so different and I wanted to know why.
