*Review* The King's Curse By Philippa Gregory
* I was given a ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) of this for my honest review*
After the sudden death of Prince Arthur, Katherine leaves for London a widow, and fulfills her deathbed promise to her husband by marrying his brother, Henry VIII. Margaret’s world is turned upside down by the surprising summons to court, where she becomes the chief lady-in-waiting to Queen Katherine. But this charmed life of the wealthiest and “holiest” woman in England lasts only until the rise of Anne Boleyn, and the dramatic deterioration of the Tudor court. Margaret has to choose whether her allegiance is to the increasingly tyrannical king, or to her beloved queen; to the religion she loves or the theology which serves the new masters. Caught between the old world and the new, Margaret Pole has to find her own way as she carries the knowledge of an old curse on all the Tudors.
MY THOUGHTS
I was lucky enough to receive an advance reader copy of The King's Curse.
I loved the entire series and I love this book just as much as all the others. This is the 6th and final book in the Cousin's War series and it is very well written and I was hooked from the very beginning. This book is at about 608 pages so it is a long book and took me some time to read but I enjoyed it very much. Only bad thing is that it is the last book in the series :(
This is the only series by Philippa Gregory that I have read so far but I have most of her books in my very long to buy list because I love her writing style.
If you are a fan of historical fiction I highly recommend this book and actually I recommend this entire series.
I give The King's Curse 5 out of 5
You can pre-order this now. It will be out in stores Sepetember 9th 2014
