Magic of the Gargoyles By Rebecca Chastain *Cover Reveal*
Description:
Someone has kidnapped a nest of
helpless baby gargoyles and is using them as pentagram focuses,
devouring their magic—and their lives—for a horrific, illegal
power boost. Swept into the dangerous underworld of black magic,
earth elemental Mika Stillwater must cobble together her limited
resources and skills to have a chance at being the hero the baby
gargoyles desperately need. If she fails, the city will be at the
mercy of the gargoyles’ murderers and their overwhelming
destructive magic.
But pitting herself against powerful black-magic villains is proving just as deadly for Mika as for the gargoyles.

About the Magic of the Gargoyles
Universe:
Magic of the Gargoyles is set in
a reimagined Victorian-era American city, where everyone has (and
always has had) the ability to work the five magical elements: fire,
earth, air, water, and wood. Magical creatures live and interact with
humans, including gryphons, gargoyles (of course), and intimidating
kludde. As with all skills, some people are better and stronger at
magic, and the elite of society are the strongest, known as
full-spectrum pentacle potentials (FSPPs).
Our heroine Mika is an earth elemental
of average talent, with a dream of opening her own shop one day soon
and leaving her soul-sucking quarry management job behind. Her dreams
do not include dangerous adventures, but she can’t resist the
desperate plea of a baby gargoyle. (Really, who could?)
The problem is that not everyone is as
content as Mika with their innate level of magic. Some people will do
anything to become as strong as an FSPP, even murder.
