TOURIAN by Jaurice Smiley

* I received a copy of this book for my honest review*

Flashing lights from the camera crew added more focus on me. Paparazzi continued following me, sticking close by like a child with their parents at the mall. I held a bag of food that my father gave me.“Are there more of you?”“How did you get those superpowers?”These questions hammered out, but I just kept walking to my goal. ...Tourian follows the life of Whitney Rich, a High school student new to the streets of L.A. with a powerful little secret by the name of, "Tourian." With her home away from home gleaming with social, class and racial inequalities - will this new start push Rich to her brinks? Or will she... with the help of Tourian, of course... find that her strength is even more electrifying than she could have ever imagined?

MY THOUGHTS

This book sounded interesting so I couldn't wait to read it and review it.

I enjoyed this story. I found it to be a quick read that I just couldn’t put down.

I really enjoy the author's writing style and I am hoping to read more stories by Jaurice Smiley in the future.

I do recommend this book.

I am giving this one 4 out of 5.
