2026 Reading And Bookish Plans

First off, I didn't set any goals for 2025.  I don't know why I didn't make any but it was nice to not put stress on myself, and it was nice.   Unfortunately, I also neglected my blog and prioritized my Instagram instead. I didn't do it on purpose; I got lazy and didn't really care about doing more than a very quick post. It doesn't help that book blogs are dying and that publishers and authors prefer Instagram or TikTok videos and such.  I do use Instagram, but TikTok just isn't for me.

Ok, now onto reading plans for 2026.  Well, my top priorities are to try and go back to blogging, but I might start having more backlist books on here because I have gotten behind on my Netgalley books, and I do own a lot of physical and Kindle ebooks that I have not read yet so I really need to get to reading those.  I will review new and upcoming books, but not as many as I have in previous years.

I also have a few books that I had started reading but ended up putting aside because I needed to prioritize my review books, so I want to finish those books, and what I just don't feel like continuing, I will just get rid of them.  No point in keeping books I know I won't finish.

I love tracking my books on Goodreads, so of course, I will continue doing so but I would like to track my reading on paper.

I started doing an inventory of my physical books, and I really want to continue doing that. I  had written them all down on paper a few years ago, but I got frustrated with that, so this year I have an app on my phone where you scan the barcode. It is a good app, but I don't have some books that are ARCs (advance reader copies), and those don't have barcodes, so I've had to manually write them down on the app.  I have been doing well at keeping my inventory updated but sometimes I forget to log the books in.  Didn't help that I got a lot of physical books this year.   Oops 😜

Anyway, this is all for now.

I hope you have a Happy Holidays
